In what could be termed as a shocker for the congress party its newly elected corporator Gargee Prashant Chopra resigned on Friday on the ground of personal reasons. This is surprising in the background of very poor performance of congress party in the recently held Nagpur municipal elections. The said corporator is wife of former corporator Prashant Chopra. She has sent her resignation to Municipal Commissioner and Shri Vikas Thakre, Congress city head. Interestingly Mr. Thakre has also resigned as city chief of congress party though the resignation has not been accepted. This indicates possible differences among congress leaders.
